Dr. Lulu’s Pride Corner does not exist in isolation.
It sits within a living, growing ecosystem of community care, education, creativity, and advocacy that extends far beyond one-on-one coaching. This page reflects the breadth, depth, and intentionality of that work.
Some people arrive through coaching. Others arrive through community events, education, storytelling, or shared meals. All of it is connected.
As a speaker, educator, and facilitator, Dr. Lulu has delivered keynotes, workshops, plenaries, panels, and moderated discussions across the United States and internationally, including:
- Conferences and nonprofit spaces across the U.S.
- UK Black Pride
- Speaking engagements in Canada
- Educational work in Nigeria
This global reach reflects a deep commitment to advancing affirming care across cultures and systems.
Dr. Lulu’s Angels Haven, Inc. (Nonprofit)
Dr. Lulu’s Angels Haven, Inc. is the nonprofit arm of this ecosystem.
The nonprofit was created to address the gaps that coaching, healthcare, and traditional systems often cannot fill — especially for LGBTQ+ youth and families navigating multiple layers of marginalization.
The focus of the nonprofit includes:
- Community education around affirming, bias‑informed care
- Creating culturally grounded, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and families
- Supporting community‑based initiatives that prioritize safety, dignity, and belonging
- Addressing unmet needs that fall outside traditional medical or mental health systems
This work is powered by partnerships, grants, donations, and community collaboration.
If Pride Corner is about individual support, Angels Haven is about collective care.
AffirmingCare ATL
AffirmingCare ATL is a quarterly, high‑touch community experience centered on affirming care, health equity, culture, and connection.
This initiative was born out of a desire to move affirming care out of theory and into lived experience — creating spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and cared for in real time.
AffirmingCare ATL is currently powered by ViiV Healthcare.
The inaugural AffirmingCare ATL event took place in November 2025 and was a red‑carpet, semi‑formal dinner experience that brought together clinicians from all branches, community members, advocates, and leaders in proximity with the LGBTQ+ community.
It was a powerful, sold‑out success.
The next AffirmingCare ATL experience is scheduled for March 2026, with plans to continue hosting these gatherings on a biannual basis.
What makes AffirmingCare ATL distinct:
- Red‑carpet, semi‑formal dinner/brunch experiences
- High‑end, intentional environments that communicate dignity and worth
- West African cultural elements are woven throughout
- Nigerian cuisine as a staple feature
- Future integration of West African drummers, dance, and embodied storytelling, a silent auction, spoken word, music, and creative expression
AffirmingCare ATL is not just an event — it is a statement:
Affirming care can be beautiful, culturally rich, and community‑centered.

For Clinicians & Healthcare Organizations: The AFFIRM Program
**The AFFIRM Healthcare Professionals Prescription Program (TAHPPP), aka The AFFIRM Program (TAP) **is a structured, evidence‑informed medical team training and faculty development initiative designed to help healthcare professionals move from intention to impact, from hesitation to confidence when caring for LGBTQ+ patients.
AFFIRM was created in response to a clear gap: many clinicians want to provide affirming care but have never been given the language, frameworks, or practical tools to do so safely and confidently.
This is not a one‑off cultural competency training.
AFFIRM is a multi‑touchpoint, applied learning experience that focuses on real clinical scenarios, communication, and trust‑building.
How the AFFIRM Program Works
The AFFIRM Program is delivered through a seven‑touchpoint structure (often over seven weeks), allowing participants to learn, reflect, practice, and integrate affirming care into their existing workflows.
Core elements include:

AFFIRM can be delivered as:
Beyond Content: Building Safer Systems
AFFIRM goes beyond content delivery.
The program supports clinicians and institutions in:
- Creating safer clinical environments
- Improving patient trust and retention
- Reducing provider uncertainty and burnout
- Aligning affirming care with existing clinical standards
Dr. Lulu brings lived experience, clinical expertise, and national and international speaking experience to this work, helping healthcare professionals translate affirming values into everyday practice.
